APA because that's what I've tried so far, but I'm willing to try and learn more.

Why I became an editor

I was introduced to editing at the tender age of sixteen: my very first job was proofing papers written for a scientific journal. The editorial office taught me three important lessons: any writing needs an extra pair of eyes, a good editor makes a big difference, and editing is fun and rewarding!

I like to read other people's writing and learn from it. I enjoy being an extra pair of sharp eyes. I hunt misprints and mistakes like an eagle its prey... This is a high-flown way of saying I'm a pest. Maybe I am, but isn't a good editor always a bit of a pest?

Background and experience

I worked as a linguistic editor at the editorial office, proofing and editing papers written for a scientific journal. I've freelanced as a proofreader/editor working with authors of non-fiction, fiction, and poetry.

Why I love proofreading and editing

I'm guilty of perfectionism. I'm also a bit of a pest. These flaws of mine transform into advantageous traits when it comes to proofreading and editing. It allows me to indulge my shortcomings and feel good about myself at the same time. Love it!
