Favorite referencing style
My favorite referencing style would probably have to be MLA, simply because of the familiarity.
Why I became an editor
By nature, I am a lover of all things reading and writing. I became an editor because, as a writer myself, I understand how important and reassuring it is to have a second set of eyes reviewing my writing. I want to help writers polish their work to perfection and allow them to create the best versions of their projects.
Background and experience
I write webcomics, young adult fiction, and children's literature. In the past, I have done editing and proofreading work for different organizations, as well as event recap articles for Esports.
Why I love proofreading and editing
I feel a huge sense of satisfaction when my eyes naturally lock on to errors in writing. Making a piece of writing as grammatically flawless, concise, and polished as possible always feels like a job well done.
Favorite book:
As a reader and writer of young adult fiction, my favorite books would probably be the Skinjacker Trilogy written by Neal Shusterman.
Hobbies:
When I am not proofreading, I enjoy reading books, writing my own material, skateboarding, and playing games with my loved ones.
Editing tips:
I do a quick read-through of the writing and correct the more obvious errors first. I then proceed to look over the material, line by line, to catch inconsistencies in tone, phrasing, and clarity.
