Why I became an editor
My career as a pharmacist led me into designing and writing training materials. I discovered a love for perfecting documents to make them easy to use and understand and helping others improve their work.
Background and experience
I am a pharmacist by trade and, in recent years, specialized in learning and development.
Why I love proofreading and editing
I enjoy helping a writer tell their story, allowing the reader to get the most from the piece of work. I particularly enjoy working on materials relating to science and healthcare.
Favorite book:
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.
Hobbies:
I am a mum of three children, so I can usually be found cooking, playing or ferrying them around!
Editing tips:
I like to skim read through the document initially to get an idea of the content and note any obvious errors before diving into the detail.
