Why I became an editor
I've always had an insatiable appetite for the written word. While my career path has taken me everywhere from the kitchen to the law office, I’m now putting my greatest passion, reading, to good use as a proofreader and editor.
During my time as a legal assistant, I realized my favorite part of the job was editing the attorneys’ documents. Now, after completing a proofreading course to further hone my skills, I’m happy to be helping all kinds of people take their writing to the next level.
Background and experience
I am a culinary school graduate and former legal assistant. I have proofread many documents as part of my work, and I have completed an in-depth proofreading course.
Why I love proofreading and editing
Writing is an art as well as a science. I love helping writers make their work both pleasant to read and easy to understand.

My favorite book is Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk.
Hobbies:
When I'm not proofreading, I'm usually cooking, baking, or reading a good book.
Editing tips:
When proofreading, I like to work on each sentence by itself at first. Then I step back and make sure each paragraph and section flows nicely as a whole.
