Why I became an editor
I am passionate about reading and writing, and I love the English language. I have always enjoyed helping my school friends with their English, and I eventually became an English teacher.
Background and experience
I taught business English for 13 years, I am a certified translator and interpreter between English and Serbian, and I have some experience proofreading for agencies (academic proofreading) and individuals (children's books and short stories).
Why I love proofreading and editing
I enjoy proofreading academic texts and fiction, I am curious by nature, and I enjoy reading about the sciences and humanities. Proofreading allows me to gain new knowledge in various fields. I have some experience with APA and Harvard referencing.
Favorite book:
My favorite books are anything by P.G. Wodehouse or Terry Pratchett.
Hobbies:
My hobbies include singing (badly), seeing friends, swimming, gardening, cooking, dancing, learning languages, playing chess, and learning random stuff.

I find checklists very helpful.
