Favorite referencing style
Harvard referencing is my favourite style because I used it throughout my degree.
Why I became an editor
I have always enjoyed reviewing friends' academic assignments and helping colleagues to find the perfect wording for a business proposal. I became an editor to share my knowledge and help others improve their writing.
Background and experience
In my work as a marketing professional, I edit advertising and website copy and proofread business proposals. I also volunteer at a local homework club, where I help ESL students to achieve clarity in their writing.
Why I love proofreading and editing
I love that I’ve helped the author to deliver their story or argument clearly.
Favorite book:
The Cost of Living by Deborah Levy
Hobbies:
When I'm not proofreading, I'm reading books and baking sourdough.
Editing tips:
The first time I read a document I break it down sentence by sentence. This helps me to find typos and punctuation mistakes. After I've done that I read the document from start to finish to make sure it flows.
