Favorite referencing style
APA is probably my favorite referencing style because it is so widely used. Also, there is nothing that stands out to me as being in need of improvement.
Why I became an editor
After years of doing a job I did not feel suited to, I enrolled in Knowadays and graduated with a distinction grade.
It was the best decision I have ever made because proofreading provides the opportunity to not only gain new knowledge but to do something extremely rewarding: help people achieve their goals.
Background and experience
I am a freelance proofreader.
Why I love proofreading and editing
What I love most about being a proofreader is how I can make a small contribution to major moments in a person's life, whether that be by making sure someone’s resume and cover letter are perfect when they apply for a new job or by assuring that spelling, punctuation, and grammar mistakes do not keep a student from achieving their ideal grade.
Favorite book:
The Fall by Albert Camus.
Hobbies:
When I am not proofreading, I enjoy reading, cooking, greyhound racing, and watching people falling over on Youtube.
Editing tips:
I always read a document backwards at least once because it is a useful technique for catching spelling mistakes.
