Favorite referencing style
I favor Vancouver, as its numbering system keeps good track of extensive lists.
Why I became an editor
Throughout university, my international friends often asked me to proofread their essays. These small contributions, which brought relief to my ESL friends, fueled my passion to help writers communicate well.
Background and experience
I have worked for many years as a pharmacist and as a researcher in public health. I gained editing skills through proofreading academic work and publishing research.
Why I love proofreading and editing
Helping writers, especially non-native English writers, to articulate their message well brings me joy.
Favorite book:
Switch on Your Brain by Dr Caroline Leaf is my favorite book.
Hobbies:
If I’m not proofreading, I’m probably in some cafe chatting with friends over coffee and brunch.
Editing tips:
I follow a checklist customised to a client's preferences to ensure no errors are missed.
