Why I became an editor
As a professional actor, composer, and writer, my life has been defined by a deep love for language and self expression. My rigorous academic background and years of teaching have taught me the importance of excellence and attention to detail. It gives me such joy and satisfaction to help others craft and articulate the best version of their work!
Why I love proofreading and editing
I have always had a gift for paying meticulous attention to detail and have been proofreading my own work as a writer, as well as other people's work, my whole life! Proofreading and copy editing organically draw from my natural strengths and interests. Because of my background as an artist and my rigorous academic background, I am particularly strong in subjects related to creative fields, the humanities, human rights, politics, culture, and the African Diaspora.
