Why I became an editor

As a writer, I love the process of polishing work to make it sing, and as a professor who reads countless essays, I often find myself not just assessing students' arguments but also copyediting their sentences and paragraphs to give shape and clarity to their ideas. Proofreading and copyediting seemed like the inevitable occupation for my editorial instincts.

Background and experience

I have over ten years' experience grading and editing essays by high school and college students of varying skill levels and language proficiencies.

Why I love proofreading and editing

I love ensuring that an author's work sings with the musicality of flawless grammar and elegant sentence structure. I especially enjoy proofreading and editing anything on politics, history, philosophy, entertainment, and the arts.
