Why I love proofreading and editing
During the last 15 years, I have worked in the event management field for a large computer software company. I was the editor for my team regarding communications, instructions, website management, etc., and found that in addition to having a knack for it, I liked that aspect of my job. When I needed to make a change in jobs recently, I immediately thought of going into this field.
Favorite book:
Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett.
Hobbies:
Some of my favorite activities are traveling, kayaking, hiking, boating, and playing with my grandchildren.
Editing tips:
Reading through a document through the eyes of the intended audience is the first thing I do.
