Favorite referencing style
APA style is my favorite simply because I have had the most experience with it.
Why I became an editor
I have always loved grammar, and I am an avid reader. I used to take the SAT writing section for fun! My work in social media, helping the marketing team write copy for Instagram and Facebook ads, sparked an interest in writing. Being able to help others express themselves clearly is a rewarding and satisfying experience.
Background and experience
I have been working in the field of tourism for four years with a tour company called Taglit-Birthright Israel. I first worked as a social media coordinator, which included writing copy for Instagram and Facebook posts, then as a trip manager. My editing and proofreading experience started with training at Proofreading Academy and a role at Proofed.
Why I love proofreading and editing
I have always been interested in learning new languages and I love grammar.
The written word is a powerful tool of expression, and I want to be able to help others express themselves clearly.
Favorite book:
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.
Hobbies:
I love to travel! I hope to eventually visit every continent. I also enjoy baking, watching old classic movies, and practicing ukulele.
Editing tips:
I find that taking frequent breaks helps me catch all of the errors when proofreading.
