Favorite referencing style
Chicago is my favorite. Footnotes are simply indispensable for the reader's convenience and the author's thought flow.
Why I became an editor
Studying enlightenment philosophy at university gave me a passion for learning ideas. I take inspiration from reading the thoughts and musings of others, whatever they may be. And of course, this is only possible through language, the backbone of human communication. Proofreading allows me to help others express their ideas with clarity and confidence.
Background and experience
My professional experience is in exports and logistics, teaching English to non-native speakers, and kitchen work.
Why I love proofreading and editing
I love to see ideas clearly communicated, especially in politics, philosophy, and economics. For me, proofreading is a way to offer a service to those who have something to say.
Favorite book:
The Fable of the Bees by Bernard Mandeville
Hobbies:
When I'm not proofreading, I'm either taking long bike rides or watching an overdone martial arts movie.
Editing tips:
Before I read through a document, I try to absorb all available information about the intended audience and purpose. In my opinion, this is the first step in helping to meet the author's goal.
