I don't have a favorite style.
I've always loved reading, and after college, I sought a job with a focus in writing. When I became a technical writer, I learned that the key to excellent documentation is editing and a willingness to check your work just one more time. As a proofreader, I'm bringing a fresh pair of eyes to a client's work for that final look.
As a technical writer, I'm responsible for editing and proofreading my work, as well as my co-workers' writing. I've worked in a range of industries, including library automation, human resources, retirement software, pharmaceuticals, and transit.
My goal with all writing is to make it the best it can be. Editing is part of the writing cycle, and proofreading is the final, critical step before the document goes into the world.

A recent favorite book was The Splendid and the Vile by Erik Larson.
I love being active outside, and I especially enjoy walking, running, and golfing.
After editing/proofing a document, I set it aside for a while. Then I edit/proof it again. Also, I'll look at formatting, headings, and paragraphs separately, and I may read the document backward.
