Why I became an editor
Proofreading is the perfect job that allows me to share my interest in learning and my skill of helping others to improve their work. I studied communications in college where I focused on visual media, but I have since found that the written word is the best medium of all. It truly allows one to express themselves at the highest level. My goal as a proofreader is to aid others and help them reach that level of excellence.

I previously worked as a television video editor for various productions.
Why I love proofreading and editing
I enjoy reading and gaining knowledge. Proofreading allows me to expand my world as I work to improve the work of others. I am especially drawn to the arts and social sciences.
Favorite book:
Cadillac Desert by Marc Reisner is my favorite book.
Hobbies:
When I am not proofreading, I enjoy cooking, hiking, and long drives.
Editing tips:
I like to read a document first for a general feel and correction of major issues before tackling the details.
